A woman and four children from the same family died on Wednesday when a mortar bomb fired from Syria struck the southeastern border town of Akcakale in Turkey. Turkey is seeking support from NATO and has also urged the United Nations Security Council to take action. Its military has resumed firing at targets inside the Syrian border town of Tal al-Abyad. The Turkish government is now evacuating the border area as Al Jazeera’s Anita McNaught explains.
